On August 8, 2024, Madrasah Alsagoff celebrated Singapore’s 59th National Day with pride. During the observance, the Mudirah, Ustazah Asyunifar delivered an inspiring message from Minister of Education Chan Chun Sing. The message highlighted about how Singapore's diversity makes us stronger and more resilient, and urged us to be united by moving forward towards the same goal despite our differences to shape a brighter future for ourselves.
Some teachers and staffs reflected on what Singapore means to them:
Ustazah Saripah shared, "It’s the place where I was born. It is my country."
Ustazah Saidah emphasized pride in our homeland, stating, "We are born here, we are raised here, and we should be proud."
Ms. Sharifah, from the admin staff, expressed a vision of unity: "I hope for us to move forward together—not just as individuals of a single race, culture, or religion, but as one nation."
In summary, our teachers and staffs affirmed that Singapore is not only the place where we were born and raised but also where we share our lives and aspirations. As Singaporeans, let us strive to be one united nation and one Singapore!
