Characters Come Alive

As part of our continuous effort in inculcating life-long readers, the EMMS (Primary) Department has included Alsagoff Reads as part of our Nadwah Programme. After a resounding success of the event last year, Book Character Dress-Up is back this year.

The event provides an opportunity for students to express their thoughts and reflections of their chosen characters from a book. In doing so, students would hone their communication skills and pique their interests in further reading. Students dressed as their chosen book characters during the Nadwah period and brought along the book, related to the character. The characters they adopted were both from English or Malay books.

Later part of the morning was a buzz too as the students browsed through new books for purchase from book vendors Closetful of Books and Cahaya Alam. For many students, it was a new experience for them buying books independently.
